We’re experiencing a significant drop in food donations this month, even as many of our neighbors continue to rely on food assistance. Donations of food and personal care items make a real difference and help ease their burden. Thank you for your continued generosity and support of the food pantry.

Project Rachel
Project Rachel is the Church's ministry which operates as a network of professional clergy, licensed counselors and volunteers trained to provide one-on-one spiritual and psychological support for individuals suffering from the trauma of abortion.
“It’s normal to grieve a pregnancy loss, including the loss of a child by abortion. It can form a hole in one’s heart, a hole so deep that sometimes it seems nothing can fill the emptiness. You are not alone…” — US Bishops’ Project Rachel Ministry
"For many people, abortion is the most traumatic experience in their lives. Dealing with the aftermath of an abortion can be one of the most difficult journeys a person will make. You do not have to walk this journey alone. "Both before and after an abortion, feelings of panic, fear, anxiety, guilt, remorse and pressure are common not only for the woman who underwent the abortion, but also for the father of the unborn child, the grandparents, close friends, and even medical personnel.
"The pain and loss of abortion are often intensified by a sense of alienation from God and the Church. "If you find yourself in such a place, we want you to know that the Catholic Church cares deeply and wants to be there for you. We extend to you the loving embrace, mercy and compassion of the Good Shepherd Jesus Christ. The Church welcomes you home with unconditional love and the forgiveness of God who loves you with an everlasting love. "Welcome Home!" — Archbishop Allen H. Vigneron

April Prayer Guide
By the age of 45, as many as 1 in 4 women have had an abortion, and a similar number of men and family members have been involved. Those who have participated in abortion suffer guilt, grief, and regret—often in silence—wrongly believing abortion to be “the unforgivable sin” and fearing they are beyond God’s mercy.
Yet, the Sunday of Divine Mercy is an opportunity to share the message of Christ’s infinite mercy with all suffering under the weight of sin. In the 1930s, Jesus appeared to a humble Polish nun, St. Maria Faustina Kowalska, who recorded His messages in her Diary. On one such occasion, Jesus said to St. Faustina, “My daughter, tell the whole world about My inconceivable mercy. I desire that the Feast of Mercy be a refuge and shelter for all souls, and especially for poor sinners” (Diary, no. 699).
On this Solemnity, we contemplate the fullness of the Paschal Mystery. From the beginning of creation, throughout Scripture, and most perfectly in the life, Passion, death and Resurrection of Jesus, God has revealed himself as love itself. In his infinite love for us, God desires nothing more than to wash away our sins and offer us his mercy. Our celebration of the Sunday of Divine Mercy is a celebration of the forgiveness now available to all of us, by virtue of Christ’s Resurrection. We must only run toward the outstretched arms of Christ.
God desires to take the greatest of sinners and transform them into the greatest saints. No sin is beyond his mercy. He makes “all things new” (Revelation 21:5) through the Sacrament of Reconciliation. Let us never fail to seek the mercy that God desires to freely give us. Jesus, we trust in you! a special way and embrace God’s design as they seek to grow their families.

The need for blood is constant and only volunteer donors can fulfill that need for patients in our community. Nationwide, someone needs a unit of blood every 2 to 3 seconds and most of us will need blood in our lifetime.
Our next blood drive with the Red Cross is on Monday, July 22, 2024
in the Social Hall from 1:00 pm to 7:00 pm.
Donating blood to someone in need is such a wonderful gift.
Blood donations help accident and burn victims, heart surgery and transplant patients and those battling cancer.
Please schedule an appointment today by visiting www.redcrossblood.org
and entering sponsor code "OLRC." The Red Cross website is very
informative if you are donating blood for the first time.
If you’d like to donate dairy or produce items, you can do so by donating Kroger or Meijer gift cards. Which you can deposit in the Christian Service Collection box located next to the Hospitality desk.
“Dear Lord Jesus and Mary, Mother of God, hold all these brave souls in the palm of your hand; comfort them and their families. Send angels of protection, love and comfort to all the service men and women still at war, bring them home safely and comfort their families. We ask this through Christ Our Lord, Amen.”
