Religious Education Classes
We will be using the Blest Are We faith formation program for Grades 1 and 3-6 Religious Education classes.
We will also be incorporating the Virtue Project this year as well as additional liturgical opportunities built into our weekly schedule for family faith formation.
Sacramental Preparation
First Reconciliation and First Communion
We utilize Sadlier’s “Believe, Celebrate, Live” and Pflaum’s “Together in Jesus” for our second grade religious education students working towards receiving their Sacraments of First Reconciliation and First Communion.
In order to be eligible to receive the Sacraments of First Reconciliation and First Communion, your child must be of the age of reason (typically around age 7) and have completed one year of faith formation prior to beginning their preparation.
If you would like to register your child to receive the Sacraments this spring, please indicate this when registering your child for Religious Education classes.*A retreat fee will apply and your child’s baptismal certificate must be on file.
Confirmation
We use Ascension’s “Chosen” Confirmation program.
Confirmation classes are a two-year program, typically for 7th grade and 8th grade students. Older students who have not been confirmed are welcome; younger students will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
These classes are held about twice per month on Monday evenings from 6-7:30.
If you would like to register your child for our Confirmation program, please indicate this when registering your child for Religious Education classes.
*A retreat fee will apply each year and your child’s baptismal certificate must be on file.
Please register your children for our evening faith formation classes using the link below.

Adults who are already Catholic and seeking to grow their faith should use the parish login to the FORMED online platform. Adults studies may be offered in the fall based on shared interest. Contact the Stephanie Gordon at [email protected] for suggestions if you are not sure where to begin or would like to lead a study.
Sometimes, the best way to learn more about something is to teach it! The parish is seeking volunteer catechists to help instruct children in the truth and beauty of the Catholic faith. Please prayerfully consider donating your time and talent to this ministry. You may be surprised at how much you learn from the children.
